Itinerary
Day 1: Bangkok
On arrival you will be met by a Tour East representative and transferred to your hotel. 2 Night Stay: Bel Aire Princess
Day 2: City and Temples Tour
This tour brings you to the three most distinguished temples in Bangkok. Wat Trimitr, the Temple of the Golden Buddha the statue of Buddha is made from solid gold weighting 5.5 tons. It is a fine example of Sukhothai art and was discovered by chance from a layer of stucco during construction of the temple. Passing through Chinatown your next stop is Wat Po, the temple of the Reclining Buddha the largest and oldest in Bangkok. Your last stop is
at Wat Benchamabopit - the marble temple. This magnificent monastery was built with white
Italian marble from Carrara.
Day 3: Bangkok – Chiang Mai
Today you will fly from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. (airfare not included). Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel and the rest of the day is yours to explore.
3 Night Stay: De Naga Hotel
Day 4: Elephant Trek and River Rafting Tour
This tour takes you to the Chiang Dao Elephant Camp, situated in a picturesque setting on the banks of the Ping River. Here you can watch these amazing creatures taking their daily bath and demonstrating remarkable feats of strength and skill. You then join a 90-minute uphill elephant trek to a remote Lisu hill tribe village. This thrilling ride takes you along the river and then past beautiful forest scenery of bamboo trees and hanging creepers. At the end of the ride, enjoy a traditional lunch, before boarding a bamboo raft for a relaxing hour-long adventure down the River Ping. Your day long adventure finishes with a visit to an Orchid Farm at Mae Sa where there is ample time to stroll around this scenic area. B
Day 5: Chiang Mai
You are free to enjoy the area at your leisure or to take an optional (own cost) tour. Learn to cook Thai style at the Khao Soy Cooking School. Go trekking – there are many great areas to explore, including Doi Tung, Doi Mae Salong, Doi Pa Tang and the Maekok River. Boat along Mekong River from the Golden Triangle and drift past the ancient towns of Chiang Saen and Chiang Khong or visit the Opium Museum, which will take you on a historical journey not found anywhere else! B
Day 6: Chiang Mai – Phuket
Today you will fly from Chiang Mai to Phuket (airfare not included). On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel with the rest of the day at leisure. 8 Night Stay: Indigo Pearl Beach, Phuket
Day 7: Phi Phi Island by Speedboat
Today enjoy a fullday visiting two of the famous islands in southern Thailand Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Lay and the beautiful surrounding seascapes. It takes just about 1 hour by speedboat to reach Phi Phi Lay the smallest of the two islands which is home to Maya Bay the famous beach from the Hollywood film "The Beach. A Thai lunch will be served at a beachside restaurant before the rest of the day unfolds when you can stop for great swimming and snorkelling opportunites. L
Days 8-13: Phuket
Phuket is and island of great beauty and unique cultural traditions where you can totally relax and take in the beautiful surroudings. Phuket has many activites to offer, from elephant trekking through the jungle and rubber plantations to scuba diving in crystel clear waters of the Andaman Sea with spectacular reedfs and colourful selection of marine life.
Day 14: Phuket
Today you will be transferred from your hotel to the airport for your flight home.
